A proposal that makes the case, and that they sign on their phone.
Six pages built from the roof you measured: what condition it is in, what the work is, what it costs, and what they can change — accepted online, with no printing and no chasing.
The customer gets a link, not a PDF. They open it on their phone, tap the roofs they want included, choose profile, grade, gauge, guttering and colour with each option showing what it adds or saves, and sign it off. Whatever they choose flows straight into your job pack and merchant order.
Six pages, and the first one is not a price
A quote that opens with a number invites one response: is it too much? The proposal opens with the roof — what is on it now, what condition it is in, and why it needs doing.
- Condition report — roof type, pitch, material, approximate age, fixing type, and a repair-versus-re-roof assessment with your recommendation written out
- The roof plan — over the aerial you drew on, with each roof tappable
- Selections — profile, grade, gauge, guttering, brackets, downpipes, colour
- The material — what they are buying, in plain English, and why it suits
- Terms — exclusions, warranties, payment schedule
- Acceptance — the full breakdown with GST, and a sign-off
The customer picks the roofs
On the roof plan, each roof is either in the price, an optional extra, or excluded. The customer taps one to include it or leave it out, and the total moves in front of them.
That is what the optional extras are for. The shed they were not sure about is one tap — priced, ready — instead of a phone call, a revised quote and another week.
Every option shows what it costs
The selections page is not a list of what they are getting. It is a set of choices, each card showing what it adds to or takes off the price, as a dollar figure and a percentage:
- Profile — corrugate or 5-rib
- Steel grade — Colorsteel MAXAM, Armorsteel ColorZen, ColorCote, or plain Zincalume
- Gauge — 0.40 or 0.55
- Guttering — Colorsteel box, Marley Typhoon, Marley Classic, or none
- Colour — the full standard palette, as swatches
An upgrade the customer chooses themselves is an easier sale than one you put in the price and have to defend. And whatever they pick is what reaches your job pack and your merchant order — you do not re-enter it anywhere.
They sign it online
Send a link. They open it on their phone, choose their options, and accept. No printing, no scanning, no PDF that has to come back signed.
The acceptance lands in Quote activity on your home board, the job moves along, and if you have the deposit set to send on acceptance, the deposit invoice goes out by itself — from your business, with your bank account on it.
It is your business on it, not ours
Your logo, your company name, your contact details, your GST number. Mail sent on your behalf goes out under your business name with replies pointed at your address, so the homeowner sees their roofer rather than a software company they have never heard of.
Every page is editable
Click any text and change it. Save a proposal as your default template and every new quote starts from it — your wording, your inclusions, your terms — rather than from ours.
What roofers ask about this.
Can the customer change the quote themselves?
They can choose between the options you offered — profile, grade, gauge, guttering, colour — and include or exclude the roofs you marked as optional extras. They cannot change your prices or add anything you did not offer.
Everything they choose comes back to you, and flows into the job pack and the merchant order.
What happens when they accept?
The acceptance appears in Quote activity on your home board and the job moves along. If you have set the deposit to send automatically, the deposit invoice is raised and emailed from your business with your bank account on it.
Can I send a PDF instead of a link?
Yes, but the link is what makes the selections and the roof plan work — a PDF is a picture of a quote, and the customer cannot tap a roof on it. The link opens on any phone with no login.
Does my branding go on it?
Yes. Logo, company name, address, contact details and GST number, from Settings → Branding. Replies to a quote email go to your address, not ours.
Can I change the standard wording?
All of it. Click any text to edit it, then save the proposal as your default template and every new quote starts from your version.
